Are you the expert who ensures electromagnetic interference is eliminated aboard naval vessels? As an EMC/EMI Engineer at Alewijnse, you are responsible for the electromagnetic compatibility of all electrical systems. From radar to communication: you make sure everything works together – without interference.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be responsible for ensuring EMC/EMI compliance within complex maritime defence projects. You will develop EMC strategies, perform analyses, provide technical guidance, and ensure all onboard systems function harmoniously – in line with applicable standards and customer specifications.
Your responsibilities include:

Developing and safeguarding EMC/EMI plans within defence projects

Performing risk analyses regarding electromagnetic interference

Advising on system layout, shielding, and grounding techniques

Coordinating with fellow engineers, suppliers, and clients

Documenting EMC measures in the technical project files

Who are you?
You have a broad technical perspective and know how to ensure complex systems work seamlessly together. You enjoy working in dynamic project teams on technically challenging and socially meaningful projects.
What you bring:

A completed HBO or university degree in Electrical Engineering, Maritime Technology, or Physics

Knowledge of or experience with EMC standards (such as MIL-STD-461 or Def Stan 59-411)

Strong analytical skills and a structured approach

Good communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders

Willingness to work on-site in Nijmegen, Krimpen, Drachten, or Oss
