Service Software Engineer - Yachts

Oss, Nijmegen

Fulltime

€ 3400 - € 5100

At Alewijnse, you’ll work on innovative software solutions for some of the world’s most exclusive superyachts. As a Service Software Engineer, you are the driving force behind testing, improving, and optimising advanced automation systems. You’ll work independently, communicate directly with clients, and have plenty of room to further develop your expertise.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you’ll be working at the core of smart systems on board superyachts. You ensure everything operates as it should – or better. You test, analyse, and resolve faults. Most of this work is done remotely, but occasionally you’ll be on board, on location. No system or challenge is ever quite the same.

Your tasks will include:

  • Analysing and resolving faults in PLC and SCADA systems (including Schneider, Siemens, and Cimplicity)

  • Implementing software updates and upgrades for optimal system performance

  • Testing alarm, monitoring, power management, and control systems

  • Commissioning new software and optimising existing installations

  • Advising clients based on your technical expertise and experience

You’ll be based at our Oss and/or Nijmegen location, with regular opportunities to work remotely. Occasionally, you’ll travel to international projects, depending on project needs.

What do we offer you?

At Alewijnse, you don’t just contribute to building impressive vessels – you also shape your own professional development. You’ll be part of a team that takes pride in what it builds – and achieves results together.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • A monthly salary between €3,400 and €5,100 (full-time)

  • Paid overtime or travel time, or the option to convert this to time off

  • Fully funded training programmes so you can learn and work at the same time

  • 25 holiday days and 13 ADV days, plus a pension scheme via PMT

  • Employment conditions in line with the CAO Metal & Technology collective agreement

Who are you?

You have experience as a software engineer and are familiar with PLC and SCADA systems. You enjoy technical challenges, communicate easily with clients, and take ownership of your work. You’re drawn to the maritime sector – and ready to take an active role in it.

What you bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or Software Engineering

  • Good command of both Dutch and English

  • Willingness to travel internationally from time to time

  • A proactive, independent working style
